Sufficient activation of these muscles will benefit a range of strength and cardiovascular exercises. Your Glutes are a powerful muscle, they support your core, assist compound movements and are vital for aiding in pain free running and walking. A weakness in this area MAY lead to increased lower back pain, muscle imbalance and mobility issues.

Here are two of our favourite exercises for a little bit of pre-workout activation or rehab post injury! Keep your reps and sets high, 4×15 for example to really feel a burn and activate muscles sufficiently. You can adjust by adding ankle weights, play around with the level of Theraband used and you can even turn a Glute kickback into a core exercise by keeping your knees off the floor 🔥 notice how each side feels! Are there any differences??
