Quick Fire Questions – Get to know our therapists!

  1. Where is the best place you’ve ever travelled to and why?
As experiences go, I would have to say my multiple trips to Yemen to train a client, especially the first trip. Unknown to me, I would be introduced to the President of Yemen to advise on health issues and to personally train him. I would then train instructors to carry this through. The culture, traditional clay oven cooked fish, barbecued giant prawns, the lunar landscape and the capital, Sanaa, was simply amazing!
  2. What made you choose to become a health practitioner?
Having had a long career in health and fitness, spanning 28 years, it was seeing my daughter (soon after her birth) respond immediately to treatment from a cranial Osteopath. I had been working alongside an Osteopath and he suggested to become one. Combined with my health and fitness background and skills and knowledge, becoming an Osteopath and understanding the principles behind injury, pain and dysfunction has rounded me as a health practitioner.
  3. Favourite area of the body to treat and why?
During the 90’s, with my football days well behind me, weight training became the primary activity. Subsequent to sustaining a left shoulder injury and through my own rehabilitation with consultants, I had developed an affinity for treating all nature of shoulder problems. I am comfortable in treating all areas of the spine and peripheral joints, in addition to soft tissue injury and dysfunction.
