Sports Massage | Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist | Postural Assessments

Susan is currently in the final stages of completing the BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy at the North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM).  She is trained in techniques such as Basic Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Soft Tissue Release (STR), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Trigger Point Therapy, postural and ROM assessments, to name just a few.

She is a keen runner and has completed 3 marathons (Barcelona, Edinburgh and Berlin) and numerous half marathons (her preferred distance) and 10km runs, so she knows first hand the benefits sports massage has on training, recovery or rehabilitation from injury.  She has played tennis all my life and loves the buzz in SW London when its Wimbledon season.

What is your favourite meal? Difficult to choose! I love Middle Eastern flavours (Cinnamon, Ras al hanout, mint), or a Chicken, Mushroom and Tarragon Pie….and Pavlova!

Tell us an unusual fact about you! I studied British Sign Language (BSL) up to Level 2 and like to challenge myself sometimes by watching the BSL interpreter on the tv to see what I can remember.

Where is the best place you’ve travelled to? Overland truck tour of South America (via Cuba on the way over), taking in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.  Highlights for me were taking the less touristy 3 day ‘back route’ up to Machu Picchu (Peru), the Uyuni Salt Flats (Bolivia) and the beautiful beaches in Cuba.
