ABOUT

Dr. Paolo Consigliere is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in shoulder and elbow disorders, with advanced training in keyhole techniques, open joint replacement surgery, and trauma management.

Dedicated to delivering comprehensive care, Dr. Consigliere addresses a wide range of shoulder and elbow conditions, including rotator cuff tears, impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, tendinitis, instability, arthritis, and fractures. His expertise extends to pediatric cases aged three and above.

Dr. Consigliere earned his medical degree from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2009, and underwent orthopaedic training in Milan before relocating to the UK in 2013. He completed upper limb fellowships at the Rowley Brisow Unit and the Reading Shoulder Unit, followed by a limb reconstruction fellowship at St George’s University Hospital. Since his appointment as a Consultant in 2019, he has been serving at East Kent Hospitals University NHS FT.

Additionally, Dr. Consigliere is an Associate Lecturer at Kent and Medway Medical School, Director of Clinical Research at the Reading Shoulder Unit, and Research Lead for the William Harvey Hospital. He has authored over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored numerous book chapters, establishing himself as an authority in upper limb and trauma surgery. He is actively involved in teaching and serves as faculty for advanced training courses in shoulder and elbow surgery.
